The Micro and Home Business Association exists to serve the needs of the growing micro (1-5 employees) and home based business sector. The MHBA provides representation, support and encouragement to the sector through tailored programs, networking opportunities and strategic links to representative organisations.

The MHBA was formed from the Home Based Business Association ACR Inc in November 2002, after the association agreed the target market of home based businesses included the broader micro business sector.

The MHBA exists for people who run their own businesses, and has positioned itself as a relationship based business association. This idea has been developed on the premise that in this sector “business is personal” and affects the lives of millions of Australians and their families and friends.

However, the MHBA is not just a source of micro-business information and benefits for our Members. We also handle regular media calls from local, regional and national press who rely on and regularly cite the MHBA as a source of home and micro-business expertise and information. The Micro and Home Business Association is always available for comment on any issues both within the ACT and nationally.
